HOW TO CREATE API KEYS

Follow the step-by-step guide for your exchange.
API keys give the bot trading access only — your funds never leave your account.

⚠ IMPORTANT — SET LEVERAGE MANUALLY ON YOUR EXCHANGE

SolEdgeBot does NOT send leverage settings. The bot only places entry and exit orders — it does not set or change the leverage on your position.

Before the bot starts trading, you must manually set the leverage for SOLUSDT Perpetual on your exchange. Log in to your exchange, navigate to the SOLUSDT futures market, and set your preferred leverage (e.g. 5x or 10x) before the first trade is placed.

⚠ If you do not set leverage yourself, your exchange will use its default — which may be higher than you expect. This is your responsibility.

⚡ Bybit — API Key Setup

Log in to Bybit
Go to bybit.com and log in. Make sure Futures trading is enabled.

Open API Management
Click your profile icon (top right) → API → Create New Key.

Select "System-generated API Keys"
Choose System-generated API Keys when prompted for the key type.

Set permissions
✅ Enable: Contract — Orders & Positions
✅ Enable: Unified Trading
❌ Disable: Withdraw (never enable this!)

Set leverage on SOLUSDT before first trade
Go to Bybit Derivatives → SOLUSDT Perpetual → set your leverage manually. The bot does not set leverage automatically.

Copy your API Key & Secret
Save both immediately — the Secret is only shown once. Paste them into your SolEdgeBot account.

Never enable Withdraw permissions. SolEdgeBot only needs trading access. Your funds always stay in your own Bybit account.

🔵 Gate.io — API Key Setup

Log in to Gate.io
Go to gate.io and log in. Make sure Futures is enabled on your account.

Open API Management
Profile icon → API Management → Create API. Choose System generated.

Name your API key
Give it a recognizable name like SolEdgeBot and confirm with 2FA.

Set permissions
✅ Enable: Enable Futures
✅ Enable: Enable Reading
❌ Disable: Enable Withdrawals (never enable!)

Set leverage on SOLUSDT before first trade
Go to Gate.io Futures → SOL_USDT Perpetual → click the leverage button and set it manually. The bot does not set leverage automatically.

Copy your API Key & Secret
Save both immediately — the Secret is shown only once. Enter them in your SolEdgeBot account.

Never enable Withdrawals. SolEdgeBot only needs Futures trading access. Your funds stay in your own Gate.io account at all times.

🟢 KuCoin — API Key Setup

Log in to KuCoin
Go to kucoin.com and log in. Make sure KuCoin Futures is activated.

Open API Management
Profile icon → API Management → Create API.

Fill in API details
Give it a name like SolEdgeBot. Set a strong passphrase — you'll need this later during registration.

Set permissions
✅ Enable: General
✅ Enable: Futures Trading
❌ Disable: Transfer and Withdraw (never enable!)

Set leverage on SOLUSDT before first trade
Go to KuCoin Futures → SOLUSDT → set your preferred leverage before the bot places its first trade. The bot does not set leverage automatically.

Copy API Key, Secret & Passphrase
KuCoin requires three values: API Key, API Secret and Passphrase. Save all three — enter them in your SolEdgeBot account.
⚠️

KuCoin requires a Passphrase in addition to the API Key and Secret. Make sure to save all three values. Never enable Transfer or Withdraw permissions.

🔴 Kraken — API Key Setup

Log in to Kraken
Go to kraken.com/c/account-settings/api and log in. Click "Futures trading API" to create a Futures-specific API key.

Open API Management
Click your profile icon (top right) → API → Create API Key.

Name your API key
Enter a recognizable label like SolEdgeBot and confirm with your 2FA code.

Set permissions
✅ Enable: Contract (Futures) Trading
✅ Enable: Read Info
❌ Disable: Withdraw (never enable this!)

Set leverage on SOL_USDT before first trade
Go to Kraken Futures → PF_SOLUSD Perpetual → click the leverage button and set it manually before the bot is active. The bot does not set leverage automatically.

⚠️ Important: Kraken Futures uses USD as margin currency, not USDT. Make sure to deposit or transfer USD to your Kraken Futures account.

Copy your API Key & Secret
Save both immediately — the Secret is only shown once after creation. Paste them into your SolEdgeBot account during registration.

When creating the key, set the following permissions:

General API: Full access
Withdrawal API: No access

Under IP address restriction, enable it and enter: 62.171.169.179

Never enable withdrawal permissions. Your funds always remain in your own account.
