KUCOIN — API KEY SETUP
Complete step-by-step manual · Requires Key + Secret + Passphrase · Futures only

⚠ SET LEVERAGE MANUALLY — BOT DOES NOT DO THIS

SolEdgeBot does NOT set leverage. Before your first trade, go to KuCoin Futures → SOLUSDT → set your preferred leverage (e.g. 5x or 10x) manually.
If you skip this, KuCoin uses its default. This is your responsibility.

Log in to KuCoin
Go to kucoin.com and log in. Make sure KuCoin Futures is activated on your account. You can find it via the main menu → Derivatives → Futures.

Open API Management
Click your profile icon (top right) → API Management → click Create API.

Fill in API name and passphrase
Enter a label such as SolEdgeBot.

⚠ Passphrase — this is critical for KuCoin:
KuCoin requires you to create a custom passphrase for each API key. This is not your login password — it is a separate password that you create yourself right now.
Important: Write down your passphrase immediately. KuCoin will NOT show it again after creation. You must enter this passphrase in SolEdgeBot along with your API Key and Secret.

Choose a strong passphrase (min. 7 characters, mix letters, numbers, symbols).

Set the correct permissions
✅GeneralRequired for account access
✅Futures TradingRequired for placing orders

Complete 2FA and save your 3 values
Confirm with your 2FA code. KuCoin will then show you:

1. API Key — copy this
2. API Secret — copy this (shown once only!)
3. Passphrase — the one you set in step 3

Save all three values. You need to enter all three in SolEdgeBot.

Set margin mode + leverage on SOLUSDT — DO THIS BEFORE THE BOT TRADES
① Set margin mode to ISOLATED
1. Go to KuCoin Futures → SOLUSDT
2. Find the margin mode selector on the order form (shows "Cross" or "Isolated")
3. Select Isolated and confirm

⚠ Always use Isolated margin. Cross margin puts your entire futures balance at risk. Isolated limits losses to the margin of that one position.

② Set your leverage
1. Click the leverage button on the order form
2. Set your preferred leverage (recommended: 5x or 10x)
3. Confirm

SolEdgeBot does NOT change either of these settings.
⚠ KuCoin reminder: You need 3 values — Key, Secret, and Passphrase. Without the passphrase the bot cannot connect. Never enable Transfer or Withdraw permissions.
✅ Done! Your KuCoin API credentials are ready. Enter all three values (Key, Secret, Passphrase) during SolEdgeBot registration. Don't forget to set leverage first.
